House Bill No. 2688 seeks to rename the Urdaneta City Bypass Road in Pangasinan to Ambassador Eduardo "Danding" M. Cojuangco, Jr. Avenue. This 7.17-kilometer road, traversing Barangays Nancayasan, Santo Domingo, Santa Lucia, Camantiles, and Anonas, was initiated by then Congressman Mark O. Cojuangco to alleviate traffic congestion on the Manila North Road and improve the national road system in Pangasinan. The bypass road, opened on January 18, 2021, is designed to accommodate 38,000 motorists daily.

The renaming of the bypass road is intended to honor Ambassador Eduardo "Danding" M. Cojuangco, Jr., recognizing the vision behind the road's construction. For the local populace, the Urdaneta City Bypass Road significantly reduces travel time and improves accessibility within the city and the province, enhancing daily commutes and facilitating economic activities. Its construction and continued operation contribute to a more efficient transportation network, directly benefiting residents and motorists by easing traffic bottlenecks and fostering better connectivity.
