HB07422: AN ACT MANDATING THE INTEGRATION OF THE NATIONAL BUILDING CODE OF THE PHILIPPINES AS ONE OF THE MAJOR SUBJECTS IN THE BACHELOR OF SCIENCE COURSES IN CIVIL ENGINEERING, MECHANICAL ENGINEERING, ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING, SANITARY ENGINEERING AND ARCHITECTURE A

This bill aims to mandate the integration of the National Building Code of the Philippines (NBCP) as a major subject in higher education courses of architecture and engineering. It also mandates the inclusion of the NBCP as a topic in the licensure examinations of the abovementioned courses. This will help to ensure that future engineers and architects have a comprehensive understanding of the NBCP and can contribute to safer and more resilient building construction practices in the country.

The most beneficial provision is the policy of the State to protect its citizens and safeguard their life, health, and property, consistent with the principles of sound environmental management and control. This is in line with the government's goal to build safer and more resilient communities for the Filipino people.
