RA11657: AN ACT SEPARATING THE LIBUDON NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL – SANGHAY EXTENSION IN BARANGAY SANGHAY, MATI CITY, PROVINCE OF DAVAO ORIENTAL FROM THE LIBUDON NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL, CONVERTING IT INTO AN INDEPENDENT NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL TO BE KNOWN AS SANGHAY NATIONAL
Republic Act No. 11657 separates the Libudon National High School-Sanghay Extension in Barangay Sanghay, Mati City, Davao Oriental, and converts it into an independent national high school to be known as Sanghay National High School. This conversion is a vital development for the community of Sanghay, as it establishes a distinct educational institution capable of receiving direct support and tailoring its programs to better serve the specific needs of its students.
The Act ensures a smooth administrative and operational transition by transferring all personnel, assets, liabilities, and records of the former extension to the new Sanghay National High School. Furthermore, it mandates the Secretary of Education to include the operationalization of Sanghay National High School in the Department's program, with its initial funding from the current year's appropriation of the former extension and subsequent funding included in the annual General Appropriations Act, securing its long-term financial viability and capacity to provide quality education.
