This bill seeks to mandate the provision of free Wi-Fi internet access in public areas. The bill aims to bridge the digital divide and promote digital inclusion by ensuring that all citizens have access to affordable and reliable internet connectivity.

The government, including LGUs and government-owned and controlled corporations, shall install broadband hotspots in public areas, including national government offices, public schools, state universities and colleges, public libraries, parks, plazas, barangay reading centers, public hospitals, and public transportation terminals.
