This resolution urges the House Committee on Appropriations to restore the P351.9 million budget slashed by the Department of Budget and Management from the maintenance and other operating expenses of 35 state universities and colleges in the proposed 2017 national budget.

The resolution also calls for studying options to establish free public education for all at all levels.

The resolution emphasizes the importance of education as a right and calls for greater state funding for SUCs to ensure accessibility and affordability of education.
