RA11291: AN ACT PROVIDING FOR A MAGNA CARTA OF THE POOR
Republic Act (RA) 11291, also known as the Magna Carta of the Poor, was enacted on April 12, 2019. The Act aims to provide a mechanism for the government to assist the poor in accessing basic necessities and services, such as food, work, education, housing, and healthcare. It mandates the implementation of a social protection system and a system for targeting beneficiaries.
