This bill proposes to grant Filipino farmers and farmer beneficiaries free college education for agricultural courses in all state colleges or universities.
Agriculture is the foundation of the Philippines' economic development. While the Constitution mandates that the State prioritize education for the poor, the children of farmers often cannot finish their education. This bill proposes a way to change that.
The most interesting and beneficial provision of this bill is the exemption from paying tuition and matriculation fees for agricultural courses, which would make education more accessible and affordable for the children of farmers. The bill also appropriates the necessary funds to carry out this provision.
