HR01745: RESOLUTION COMMENDING AND CONGRATULATING MCSTEVEN MELICOR, CHRISTIAN JAMES FANTONIAL, AND ELRAM ESPRA OF THE PHILIPPINE SCIENCE HIGH SCHOOL CENTRAL VISAYAS CAMPUS FOR INVENTING THE MULTI-PURPOSE INTERCONNECTED TRANSCEIVER APPARATUS AND SECURING A PATENT F

Resolution No. 170 commends and congratulates McSteven Melicor, Christian James Fantonial, and Elram Espra, students from the Philippine Science High School Central Visayas Campus, for inventing the Multi-Purpose Interconnected Transceiver Apparatus and securing a patent for it. This innovative device helps users access real-time weather and atmospheric conditions and features a GPS for tracking. The invention is composed of three parts: a Main Device for data collection and display, a Portable Weather Station with sensors and a transceiver, and a Portable Tracker that uses GPS.

The Multi-Purpose Interconnected Transceiver Apparatus holds significant potential for the Filipino people, particularly in modernizing the agricultural sector. Its weather monitoring capabilities can assist farmers in strategic planning for pesticide application, irrigation, and disease prevention, leading to reduced input costs and higher crop yields. Additionally, the GPS tracker, which functions without an internet connection, offers a wide range of location tracking uses, such as preventing theft and promoting the adoption of advanced farming technologies in rural areas. This patent is also notable as it is the first granted to young inventors from the PSHS Central Visayas Campus and across the entire PSHS network, showcasing Filipino ingenuity in science-based research and innovation.
