RA11558: AN ACT ESTABLSHING A GENERAL HOSPITAL IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF ROSALES, PROVINCE OF PANGASINAN TO BE KNOWN AS THE CONRADO F. ESTRELLA REGIONAL MEDICAL AND TRAUMA CENTER AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR.
This Act establishes the Conrado F. Estrella Regional Medical and Trauma Center, a new 100-bed capacity, Level II general hospital in Rosales, Pangasinan, which will be under the direct control and supervision of the Department of Health (DOH). This new medical facility aims to provide much-needed healthcare services to the residents of Rosales and the surrounding areas in Pangasinan, enhancing access to quality medical care. The law also provides for future increases in bed capacity and upgrading of healthcare services and facilities, which will be consistent with a hospital development plan prepared by the DOH, ensuring the hospital's growth and ability to meet evolving community health needs.
The Act appropriates Nine hundred million pesos (P900,000,000.00) for its immediate implementation, funded under the 2022 General Appropriations Act through the DOH's Health Facilities Enhancement Program. This significant allocation of funds underscores the government's commitment to improving healthcare infrastructure and services in the region. The establishment of this hospital will directly impact the well-being of the people by providing accessible medical and trauma care, contributing to better health outcomes and public welfare.
