RA11194: AN ACT MANDATING THE CONSERVATION OF GABALDON SCHOOL BUILDINGS NATIONWIDE, PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATIONS, AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR

Key Features of the Act

Conservation Program: The Department of Education (DepEd), in consultation with the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA), the National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP), and the National Museum (NM), will implement a program for the identification and conservation of these buildings.

Inventory: A comprehensive inventory of all Gabaldon school buildings will be undertaken to determine their physical status.

Local Government Unit Participation: Local government units are required to adopt measures for the protection and conservation of these structures.

Prohibition of Alterations: Any modification, alteration, destruction, demolition, or relocation of Gabaldon school buildings is strictly prohibited.

Funding: The DepEd will include the implementation of this Act in its program, with the initial funding charged to the current year's appropriation and subsequent funding included in the annual General Appropriations Act.
