Timothy Flores, co-owner of Kasama in Chicago, Illinois, with his wife Genie Kwon, is recognized for "reinventing Filipino cuisine through a jubilant bakery and a destination-worthy tasting menu," with Kasama being the first Filipino restaurant to receive a Michelin Star.
