HB09682: AN ACT INSTITUTIONALIZING THE GRANT OF A TEACHING ALLOWANCE FOR PUBLIC SCHOOL TEACHERS AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR
This bill institutionalizes the grant of a Teaching Supplies Allowance for all public school teachers engaged in the basic education curriculum. It proposes an allowance of Seven thousand five hundred pesos (P7,500.00) per teacher for School Year 2024-2025, increasing to Ten thousand pesos (P10,000.00) per teacher for School Year 2025-2026 and thereafter, with the allowance being tax-exempt. The Department of Education, in consultation with the Department of Budget and Management, is tasked with promulgating the implementing rules and regulations.
