House Resolution No. 2310 expresses the profound sympathy and sincere condolences of the House of Representatives on the passing of Original Pilipino Music (OPM) icon Angelito "Hajji" T. Alejandro, who passed away on April 22, 2025, at the age of 70. The resolution recognizes his outstanding contributions to the Philippine music industry. Alejandro, known as the "Kilabot ng mga Kolehiyala," rose to prominence in the 1970s as a member of the Circus Band and later as a solo artist. He made history in 1978 by winning the grand prize at the first Metro Manila Popular Music Festival with "Kay Ganda ng Ating Musika," a composition by National Artist for Music Maestro Ryan Cayabyab.
