RA11654: AN ACT SEPARATING THE ARCELO MEMORIAL NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL – LILOAN NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL ANNEX IN BARANGAY POBLACION, MUNICIPALITY OF LILOAN, PROVINCE OF CEBU FROM THE ARCELO MEMORIAL NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL, CONVERTING IT INTO AN INDEPENDENT NATIONAL HIGH
Republic Act No. 11654 converts the Arcelo Memorial National High School-Liloan National High School Annex in Barangay Poblacion, Municipality of Liloan, Cebu, into an independent national high school to be known as Liloan National High School. This legislative change empowers the former annex to operate autonomously, enabling it to better serve the educational needs of the Liloan community by having direct control over its programs and resources.
The Act ensures a smooth transition of operations by mandating the transfer of all personnel, assets, liabilities, and records from the annex to the new Liloan National High School. Furthermore, it directs the Secretary of Education to include the school's operationalization in the Department's program, with its initial funding sourced from the current year's appropriation of the former annex, and subsequent funding to be included in the annual General Appropriations Act, guaranteeing sustained financial support for its continued development.
