The National Commission for Culture and the Arts Cultural Sites Roadmap
Coming soon…
The National Commission for Culture and the Arts Cultural Sites Roadmap is still in progress.
Through the support and strong initiative of Congressman Christopher “Toff” De Venecia, the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) is currently in the process of drafting the NCCA Cultural Sites Roadmap, a strategic framework that will seek to strengthen the protection, conservation, and sustainable management of cultural heritage sites across the Philippines. This roadmap will focus on identifying, documenting, and safeguarding both tangible and intangible cultural assets, including historic landmarks, ancestral domains, heritage towns, and archaeological sites. It will seek to enhance heritage education, promote cultural tourism, and build the capacities of local government units, communities, and heritage professionals in preserving cultural sites. Aligned with national development goals and international heritage conventions, the roadmap aspires to balance conservation efforts with community engagement and economic opportunities, ensuring that cultural sites are preserved not only as historical treasures but also as living spaces that contribute to local identity and development.
Once finalized, the Cultural Sites Roadmap will guide long-term policies, investments, and collaborative efforts for the stewardship of Philippine heritage.
