The National Commission for Culture and the Arts Gastronomy Roadmap is still in progress.

 

Through the support and strong initiative of Congressman Christopher “Toff” De Venecia, the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) is currently in the process of drafting the NCCA Gastronomy Roadmap, which will aim to position Filipino culinary heritage as a vital pillar of cultural identity, creative industries, and national tourism. This roadmap will seek to recognize and safeguard traditional food practices, promote regional culinary diversity, and support the growth of food-related enterprises through policy development, research, and community engagement. It also envisions integrating gastronomy into broader cultural programs to foster pride in local flavors while advancing sustainable food systems and culinary education. 

Once completed, the Gastronomy Roadmap will serve as a strategic guide for preserving and celebrating the Philippines’ rich food heritage, while unlocking its potential as a driver of creative economic growth.
